At the time I’m writing this, I launched this blog exactly one week ago. Althought I expected to get support from my awesome Twitter followers and readers from my other blogs, I was far from thinking that one of my blog posts were going to be featured on delicious.com frontpage so quickly.
But it happened. Last friday, my latest blog post here at Cats Who Blog, entitled “Top 10 WordPress plugins to monetize your blog“, was published on delicious.com and, as you can guess, it brought a lot of traffic to this all new blog. Here is, in details, what happened, and how it happenned.

Guest blogging is one of the most powerful ways to show your skills to new people and promote your own blog by writing on someone else’s website.
Since 3 years, I have hosted lots of different guest bloggers on my blogs, and I am also a guest author on some popular sites as such as Smashing Magazine, ProBlogDesign or WpHacks.

On October 06, one of my most successful blogs, WpRecipes, get its first birthday. To celebrate it, I decided that the site needed a facelift that will make it look more profesional. Without loosing any time, I asked my favorite artist to design a background image as well as a new logo and of course, my cat mascot, which is my personal branding.
As I guessed, the new design brought a lot of visitors and the post announcing the new look of the blog received more than 35 comments in a week.
