In order to reach online success, bloggers often have to invest money in products dedicated to enhance their blog, as such as premium WordPress themes or ebooks.
These products aren’t free and an efficient blogger has to be careful when shopping online. However, it is often possible to get discounts on products using coupon codes.
I have created Coupons For Bloggers, a website dedicated to help you save money online.
The story behind the site
Like most of you, I often purchase electronic goods as such as domain names or Premium WordPress themes (Like the Thesis theme I’m using here on Cats Who Blog) and I use coupons a lot of the time. For example, in 2009, I purchased over 30 domain names at GoDaddy and their coupons saved me more than $30.If you manage to find a coupon related to the product you want to buy, you can save up to 50 per cent of the price. However, finding coupons isn’t that easy. Sure, there’s generic coupons site that have discount codes on many products, but just a few are interesting for bloggers. This is why I have decided to create CouponsForBloggers.com; to have a unique place where bloggers can instantanely find discounts on the products they use.
Also, being an established blogger myself is a good thing because I can directly contact the companies behind interesting products for bloggers and ask for a special discount. Then everyone will be able to use the discount I managed to get.
For now, I managed to get very good deals such as the Digging into WordPress book, the Headway Theme and more.
How it works?
Coupons For Bloggers is extremely simple to use (It is powered by WordPress and a custom plugin I built) : Simply click on the coupon code related to the product you’d like to buy, and the coupon will be automatically copied into your clipboard. You’ll be taken to the merchant’s site directly.
If you want, you can rate the coupon using the star ratings or leave comments to share your shopping experience with the others.
If you have a coupon, you’re welcome to share it with the community. To do so, simply use the comment form on the site sidebar to send me an email and I’ll add the coupon. It’s as simple as that!

Cool concept and imo a smart way of aggregating this kind of content.
Maybe you could develop it further in the future introducing metrics such as cost over time graphs for the different products, number of coupon clics per time frame, most clicked coupons, highest rebates, etc. etc? Think you have a very interesting idea in this site as it becomes a good overview site for these kinds of offers which should be interesting for both bloggers and producers of these tools.
